In our search for the best location, house, garden, neighbours, opportunities, we realised that all the important elements that make a great living situation aligned with our values don't come as a package. Thats why we took everything that matters into one project, a modern house with plenty of rooms, a garden, a location close to the sea but in the middle of nature, self generated energy, possibility to work remote, great likeminded neighbours and of course the best climate in the world.
Some may say that an eco village shouldn't have cellphones, or modern technology, that is not what we are aiming for though, we make our own version of an modern eco village combined with all the modern tools to survive in the modern world and the comfort we are accustomed to. That goes for both housing, work, facilities and communications. We are creating this project firstly because we desire to live in a place like that."

A Community Project Like No Other

Designed for 500 families, our project redefines rural living with modern utilities and amenities, focusing on community, sustainability, and harmony with nature. "No man is an island" really resonates in our project, the entire design of the village is made with interaction in mind and supports the use of common spaces through out the village.

- 200 detached homes, 120 townhouses, and 180 apartments, complemented by ecological parks, farms, sports facilities, a kindergarten, a school. community centers, and more, all set near the idyllic town of Planes, by a lake and surrounded by olive farms.

The Team Behind the Vision
​
Led by Iancu Ilies and Belinda Jakobsen Ilies, our team combines expertise in marketing, business, architecture, urban planning, and sustainability, all dedicated to bringing The Modern Ecovillage to life. What qualifies these people other than their expertise is the fact that they are building their home, almost all of the team members will live in the community. That was our first step into the circular economy and it gives house buyers and investors alike the security of a job well done, without compromise.
- Architect Jose Manuel Escobedo - known for his innovative design and passionate about ecological integrated solutions. He won several prizes in architecture and has a long and impressive track record. He will design all the houses and buildings in the community.
The urban planing team headed by Begoña Arrarte Ayuso will cooperate with Ruben Navarro Tudela from Garrigues, the lawyer assigned by the City Hall for this project.
 - Rodrigo Martinez Garrido - Cronotectura SLP Renowned architect from Valencia that provides ecological sustainable steel framing for the houses in our project. The factory is located in Valencia
 - Jørn Viumdal is a mechanical engineer who created the first company dedicated to creating a practical working environment based on research data on the impact between people and nature. He works with the University of Environmental Research and Bioscience in Norway. Author translated in 21 languages and over 100 countries. His bio walls were implemented by Nasa, Google offices, airports, etc.
 - Adrian Moldovan project manager with expertise in Raiffeisen Bank, country manager in Betzold office and school supplies, Manager in Pikant Media AS. In charge of finance and purchase.
 - Tommy Gjerdrem - Mechanical engineer specialised in automation and software implemented in weather control for farming and greenhouses. He designed and will implement one of a kind innovative automated solutions for our eco gardens.
 - Ioachim Calin Brudan - Certified security expert and consultant for many companies, he helps design a non intrusive perimeter surveillance and ensures the security of the project.
 - Puchades Solar is one the leading companies in the region with more than 13 years of experience carrying out all types of installations and works. We use the most advanced systems in photovoltaics, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing and ACS.
- Dan Teglas - Construction manager with over 20 years experience, with strong references such as Melia Villaitana and Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai SpaÂ
 - Morten & Berdian Bragdø - Garteners with a business running over 5 generations and over 200 years. Authors of profiled ecological gardening books, with a scientific approach. They will design and help create the eco gardens.
 - Lex Foris boast a team of lawyers and consultants with different nationalities and a philosophy offering high levels of tailor made and dynamic service. International business is their field of work, with offices in Spain and Holland.
